We provide approving opinions on all types of tax-exempt financings (i.e., financing in which the interest paid to bondholders is exempt from federal income taxes) for state and local governments, including general obligation bond financing; revenue bond financing and special assessment bond financings; as well as economic development bonds; hospital bonds; short term notes; housing bonds; bank loans; loans from other governments, including federal government loans and various types of floating and variable interest rate bonds; auction rate securities; commercial paper and other types of financial instruments utilized to evidence a borrowing. We are collectively recognized for our in-depth knowledge of Colorado's Taxpayer's Bill of Rights ("TABOR"). We are also experts on election law in Colorado and Nevada, and we assist clients in all aspects of election law, particularly TABOR elections to finance bond issues.
