Public Finance

Sherman & Howard's public finance attorneys are active as bond counsel in Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico and Wyoming. We have rendered occasional approvals in Hawaii and Utah and also have been involved in public finance projects in Arizona, California, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. In these transactions we typically represent the issuer of the bonds; however, we have also represented other participants, such as letter of credit providers, investment banks, developers and bond purchasers. Issues approved by our firm include: general obligation bonds; revenue bonds (both enterprise and excise tax); special assessment bonds; industrial development bonds; pollution control revenue bonds; hospital financings; mortgage revenue bonds; urban renewal project financings; and public leasing transactions.
