Andrew L. Plattner Joins Sherman & Howard

January 6, 2012 (SCOTTSDALE) - Sherman & Howard announced today that Andrew L. Plattner has joined Sherman & Howard as a member of the Health Care and Wealth Transfer Practice Groups in the Firm's Scottsdale, Arizona office.

Mr. Plattner has 14 years of experience representing physicians, group practices, medical clinics and ambulatory surgical centers in corporate and business transactions.  His practice includes advising clients on the impact of Medicare regulations, the Stark Law and Anti-kickback Statutes, and the practice of medicine in Arizona and nationally.

Mr. Plattner is a recognized lecturer on legal issues affecting health care providers, including physician contracts, HIPAA compliance, and the impact of state and federal health care law guidelines as they apply to physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Mr. Plattner will also continue his estate planning practice, assisting clients in drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney, and advising clients on federal taxation and state law issues.

Mr. Plattner received his Law Degree and Health Law Certificate from DePaul University College of Law in 1998 and his Masters of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health in 1994 where he was a member of the Delta Omega National Public Health Honor Society.  In 1992, Mr. Plattner received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona.
