Stephen A. Hess Joins Sherman & Howard as New Member

Sherman & Howard L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Stephen A. Hess has joined the Firm's Colorado Springs branch as a Member in the Construction Practice Group. In his more than twenty years of practice, Mr. Hess has established a national reputation in construction law. He is the author of several treatises on Colorado law and litigation, has both served as an editor of national construction law treatises and contributed to several treatises as an author, and regularly publishes law review articles in national construction law journals. He presently serves as Associate Editor of the ABA Forum on Construction Industry's Construction Lawyer, and is the Editor of West's Construction Briefings. Mr. Hess is also an active speaker, having presented numerous seminars both locally and nationally. He created and teaches a Construction Law Seminar at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Prior to joining Sherman & Howard in 2008, Mr. Hess was a Shareholder of a leading law firm in Colorado Springs. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law, his Master of Arts in Philosophy with an emphasis on Mathematical Logic from Rice University, and his B.A. in Philosophy from Franklin and Marshall College.
