Kevin Holst Joins Board of Sister Carmen Community CenterJune 7, 2010, DENVER - Sherman & Howard announces that Kevin Holst, an associate in the firm's Real Estate practice, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Sister Carmen Community Center in East Boulder County. Mr. Holst becomes the 9th member of this organization's Board of Directors. The Sister Carmen Community Center has been serving low-income individuals and families residing in the communities of Lafayette, Louisville, Superior and Erie since 1970. Sister Carmen Community Center was incorporated as a non-sectarian, non-profit organization in 1978. Its services include emergency food assistance, and assistance with rent or mortgage, utilities, transportation, school supplies, clothing, household items, and furniture. It also hosts educational workshops and services and refers clients who need additional assistance to other agencies and organizations. Mr. Holst represents clients engaged in every facet of the real estate business, including developers, lenders, investors, brokers and others who finance, buy, sell, develop and lease property of every kind, including: urban brownfields; high-rise office buildings; mountain resorts; farms and ranches; shopping centers; hospitals and medical office buildings; corporate and industrial campuses; restaurants; theaters; and special use facilities. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver in 2005, where he served as an Executive Editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. He received his bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from St. Olaf College in 1995.
