CASH APPLICATION SPECIALIST

Sherman & Howard has an immediate opening for a top-notch, experienced accounting person to post cash receipts daily, balance to a cash receipts log, stamp bills paid, and process and edit client bills for the Firm. The ideal candidate will have LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE, participate as a team player in every way possible, and be extremely organized and detail oriented.

Skills / Requirements: Two years of clerical accounting experience which involved the use of a personal computer, data entry, and word processing duties. Knowledge of Excel, Elite, Microsoft Word and other software programs; knowledge of general accounting procedures; knowledge of law office practices and procedures; ability to perform mathematical calculations; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

 

LITIGATION / EMPLOYMENT LAW SECRETARY

Sherman & Howard is seeking a highly qualified legal secretary to perform high-level duties in a fast-paced work environment within our Litigation Department. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in a variety of secretarial and clerical tasks to facilitate our providing of legal assistance to clients.

Skills / Requirements: Successful candidates must be extremely organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and able to produce a high volume of accurate work. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required. Experience with e-filing in the state and federal courts is required. Experience with e-filing in bankruptcy court and with CaseMap is highly desirable. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible and varied legal secretarial experience is required. Typing accurately at a rate of 70+ wpm is required.

 

ERISA LEGAL SECRETARY

Sherman & Howard is seeking a highly qualified legal secretary to perform high-level duties in a fast-paced work environment within our ERISA Practice Group. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in a variety of secretarial and clerical tasks to facilitate our providing of legal assistance to clients.

Skills / Requirements: Successful candidates must be extremely organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and able to produce a high volume of accurate work. A minimum of three years of legal secretary experience with ERISA matters (employee benefit plans, deferred compensation plans, safe harbor notices) is required. Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required. Typing accurately at a rate of 70+ wpm is required.
