WORD PROCESSING COORDINATOR - DENVER

Duties and Responsibilities:  Coordinates, assigns priorities, facilitates special projects and monitors workflow assignments for all word processing shifts; reviews word processing log to ensure adequate staffing and check distribution of workload; assists in the development of automated forms used throughout the Firm; oversees word processing operations in the absence of the Word Processing Supervisor; troubleshoot PC or document problems of Firm-Supported programs.  Will also develop some training curriculum, conduct training workshops and serve as a back up trainer.  There may be some travel to other offices to provide training.

Skills/Requirements:  Knowledge of the Firm's policies and procedures as they relate to word processing operations; knowledge of the proper methods and procedures used in conducting training; ability to instruct others on the proper methods of using Word, Excel and other related PC software; ability to plan, coordinate and schedule workflow; ability to organize and prioritize tasks; ability to communicate effective, both orally and in writing; ability to establish good rapport with attorneys and other employees; attention to detail; ability to work under pressure; must type 70+ words per minute.

Background and Experience:  Five years of experience performing word processing or legal secretary related duties, a portion of which should have involved the training and instruction of others.

DESKTOP SUPPORT POSITION - DENVER

Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides support for approximately 350 users in a multi-office professional law firm environment including but not limited to, installation, problem resolution and preventative maintenance of desktop computers, printers, scanners and other network devices.  Responds to computer helpdesk requests via telephone, email or in person.  Opens, updates and closes helpdesk tickets.  Works independently as well as part of a team to solve computer related problems and processes.  Assists in supporting network and software applications.  Writes and maintains documentation.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and peripherals effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and restore software functionality and performance in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn, follow and document procedures relating to computer problems and processes.
  • Possesses and exhibits strong attention to detail as well as a positive attitude and a willingness to constantly learn, be trained and grow in the position.
  • Excellent customer service.

Background and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years corporate helpdesk/desktop support in a corporate environment experience within the last 3 years. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of training and experience. 
  • Proficient in Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Windows Explorer, security issues, printers, Internet, virus protection, ghost, remote access, hardware/software, etc.
