Representative Matters

• Obtained bad faith jury verdict, entailing double damages and attorneys' fees, against general liability carrier for its unreasonable delay and denial of coverage for damages arising out of a construction accident
• On behalf of subcontractor, obtained jury verdict against lower-tier subcontractor in payment dispute
• Handled appellate briefing and argument in multiple federal and state appeals involving insurance, construction, and commercial litigation, including petitions for certiorari to state and federal supreme courts.
• In commercial tort matter, successfully defeated preliminary injunction motion in three-day bench hearing after expedited discovery.
• On behalf of contractor, successfully negotiated settlements with multiple parties in multi-million dollar construction defect suit involving high-end condominium project.
• Obtained $ 1 million default judgment against an insurer in connection with a claim for coverage of a construction defect dispute.
