  • Won defense jury verdict in federal court trial of age and sex discrimination claims following employee's discharge for poor performance.
  • Won defense jury verdict in federal court trial of sex and age discrimination claims following elimination of employee's position in company reorganization.
  • Successfully and economically resolved two putative nationwide class action lawsuits involving allegations of racial harassment and race and age discrimination brought against a major U.S. corporation.
  • Successfully and economically resolved a volatile sexual harassment lawsuit based on allegations of rape by a warehouse supervisor.
  • Won defense jury verdict in federal court trial of fraud claim based on supervisor's statements to job applicant.
  • Negotiated Consent Decree with EEOC settling claims of race discrimination at a local distribution facility.
  • Won dismissal of employee's FMLA and ADA discrimination and retaliation claims, and associated state law tort claims, affirmed on appeal, Turnwall v. Trust Co. of America, 146 Fed. Appx. 983 (10th Cir. 2005).

  • Investigated sexual harassment complaint levied against a high level corporate executive.
  • Won defense jury verdict in federal court trial of disability discrimination and harassment claims.
  • Won dismissal of manager's claim of wrongful discharge in violation of public policy based on doctrine of res judicata, affirmed on appeal, Yapp v. Excel Corp., 186 F.3d 1222 (10th Cir. 1999).
  • Successfully and economically resolved claims arising from employee's murder by former coworker on employer's premises.
  • Successfully and economically resolved multi-plaintiff lawsuit claiming unequal pay, sex discrimination and hostile work environment at local office of national publishing company.
