Pro Bono

The attorneys and staff at Sherman & Howard have a longstanding commitment to public activities, civic responsibilities and pro bono work. Several lawyers donate their legal talents to the representation of pro bono clients including individuals, civil rights and public rights organizations, and charitable, religious, civic, governmental and educational organizations.

Our attorneys have made great efforts to increase the availability of legal services and improve the administration of justice. Lawyers have provided pro bono services to clients and offered financial support to organizations such as the Colorado Legal Foundation, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, Legal Aid Foundation, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and other agencies.

Our attorneys are also committed to civic activities. Several lawyers have served, or are presently serving, the State of Colorado in key executive advisory positions. Many of our lawyers have served or are serving on the boards of directors of numerous nonprofit institutions, including The Denver Children's Hospital, Volunteers of America, multiple area schools, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Colorado Health Foundation, the Colorado Children's Chorale, Big Brothers Big Sisters Colorado, A Gathering Place, the Rotary Club, the Denver Lyric Opera, Opera Colorado, Women's Forum, the Colorado Judicial Institute, and the Denver Art Museum.
